I've wanted to be a writer since I was very young. But I realized I needed to make a decent living. I headed to law school. Now I'm 27 and I've been an associate attorney for over two years. I was too busy focusing on law school and my career to write or even read much for quite some time. Maybe I was just lazy and/or uninspired. Whatever the reason, I realized about 6 months ago that I had totally allowed my literary side to fall by the wayside, and I was dissatisfied with various aspects of my life. So it's become a goal of mine to maintain a literary life in addition to my career. It's probably too ambitious to say I want to be a writer and an attorney, but I at least want to practice the art of literature along with the law. I recently changed jobs to a firm with higher billing requirements than my previous one. Still, I plan to stay dedicated to my writing, which includes reading as much as possible too! In this blog I'll document my attempts to juggle creativity and long hours of hard work!
